ETIAS is not yet in operation: what visa-exempt travellers to Finland should know

The EU’s official ETIAS website says no applications are being collected yet and that the start date will be announced several months in advance. The application fee will be EUR 20.

EU Entry/Exit System fully operational since 10 April 2026

The EU's Entry/Exit System registers non-EU nationals on short stays at the external borders of participating countries. It has been fully operational since 10 April 2026 and replaces passport stamping.
